Played Prairie Lakes in Grand Prairie today and I couldn’t be more impressed! The course was in excellent shape, fairways were lush, and the greens were rolling true and fast. You can really tell the grounds crew takes pride in this place. The cart girl was super friendly and came around often, which is always appreciated on a hot Texas day. Beer prices were surprisingly affordable, which made the round even more enjoyable. If I had to nitpick, the pace of play was a bit slow due to the number of walkers out today, but it wasn’t enough to take away from the overall experience. This course is a gem and definitely worth the visit. I’ll be back for sure!

First time playing here… Absolutely beautiful golf course. Lots of views of the lake. Very lush and green. Friendly staff. Food smelled amazing. Fun layout as well. We played blue to red today. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend this golf course.

Course in Grand Prairie-between 30 & 20. They have 3 nines. Tree lined fairways. Pretty tight course. It was in good shape considering it’s almost Christmas. Staff was very friendly. They also have a bbq on-site. My only complaint- very slow play- no Marshall’s.

Beautiful course, nice staff. Only 1 issues, golf etiquettes. Just before we made our turn, no one was in front of us, moving along nicely, got to the 10 hole, 3 gentlemen were teeing off. Waited almost 15 minutes to finally tee off ourselves, and every shot afterwards, we waited. Knowing we're better hitters, they still never let us by. Finally after waiting on them for 5 holes, we decided to loose a hole and move on. While passing them on their par 3, they tried blocking us from passing them, parking their cart in the middle and at the end of this one bridge. We barely squeezed through, even asking them to move a little, but didn't.. A golf ranger was not on duty to have them move along because of their slow play unfortunately, but these guys should have known better and allowed us to pass. Even the single guy behind us was getting aggravated, was ok with us because we, as 2 people, we're playing at a strong pace.. Would love to hit here again, but this first impressions wasn't good..

As a relatively cheap public course this golf course attracts beginner golfers like myself and others. This was my second time playing here and my first time went smoothly. This second time did not. Checking into the tee time you could tell the pro shop worker was not in the best of moods which is totally fine because we all have those days. He wasn’t rude but wasn’t giving us a positive feedback. As we left and went to tee off, driving to the first hole the pro shop worker was outside and decide to yell at as from the parking lot as we are on the cart path going to the first tee. I have not been golfing very long and it was my friend’s first time ever. We did not know you were not allowed to play with only 1 set of clubs as we were going to share mine. The pro shop worker yelled at us telling us we needed to rent or bring our own clubs. I said it was our first time together and he said he will let it slide but to not come back again unless we have 2 sets. This entire interaction was rude, embarrassing and unnecessary. If he had something to say he should’ve came to us and discussed it rather than yelling at us from 25+ feet away with many other golfers teeing off, putting, and waiting in line nearby. The point of having 2 sets he said was to not slow the pace of play down which i agree, but the next person to tee did not end up doing so til we were almost 4 holes infront of him and he did not play all 18 like we did. As my friend went back inside to buy a glove the pro shop worker was nice to him. As I walked in to help my fiends choose you could definitely see the vibes were uncomfortable. As we played I observed many other people were sharing clubs. I asked these two teens if the were told anything and they denied. Sad thing is I do like the course and the other workers around but unfortunately this one interaction really made the whole experience unpleasant. Tee time was at 2:22 on Sunday the 7th if the course decides to look into this.
